Allergies are an increasing fact of life in the developed world. Fortunately, pea is not one of the main allergens and, at regulatory level, is not part of

the allergens that have to be mentioned in the food product (according to the Directive 2000/13/EC and its amendments in EU and to local regulations in other parts of the world).

 

 

Isoflavones are phytoestrogen class chemicals that are found in relatively high levels in soya beans and soya protein products. Pisane® ’s isoflavone levels are so low as to be undetectable.

 

 

Anti-nutritional factors are intrinsic plant components that reduce its nutritional value. Thanks to its specific process of extraction, pisane® contains very low levels of anti-nutritional factors and is also free from lectins.

 

 

Naturally occurring levels of iron make pisane® significantly richer in iron compared with milk proteins. 100g of pisane® provides 15 mg of iron which is 100% of the European RDA.
